Volunteers are needed to provide sexual health education to high school aged youth during the GYT: Get Yourself Tested Events.
Volunteers will provide interactive and educational games at their designated table during the event and engage with adolescents with the goal of empowering them to take care of their health.
GYT: Get Yourself Tested is a youth-focused campaign that encourages STI testing. GYT helps young people understand that STI testing is quick, simple, and usually painless. It also underscores the importance of having open and honest conversations with their healthcare provider about their sexual history to ensure they get the right STI tests and other critical information about prevention. These events are held within Peoria Public Schools High Schools.
