NON-MEDICAL Volunteers Needed for COVID-19 Vaccination Response  Get Connected Icon

Description

The Peoria City/County Health Department (PCCHD) is seeking nonmedical volunteers to assist with administrative roles related to an effective COVID-19 vaccination response.  Duties could include assisting with patient intake and checkout, scheduling second dose appointments, data input, maintaining disinfected areas, serving as a runner for medical professionals and health department staff, and other administrative duties as needed. 

Upwards of 280 vaccinations are administered per day. Volunteers:

  • Should expect to be engaged in active, physical work including standing and walking
  • Must arrive wearing and continue to wear face masks during shift
  • Need to wear closed-toe, comfortable shoes
  • Will follow simple dress code – wear dress shirts and no jeans, ball hats, or t-shirts
  • Will have access to hand sanitizer stations
