Neighborhood House invites you to share a little of your time to create cards and notes of encouragement to homebound seniors and persons with disabilities in their Meals on Wheels program.
Each week, Neighborhood House volunteers and staff deliver nutritious meals to people who are unable to prepare their own meals. This is much more than delivering a hot meal at noon … it’s about care and concern.
And you can help! Receiving a card or friendly note can serve as a simple reminder that someone cares.
- Write notes or cards to seniors to be included with meal deliveries. Think spring!
- Great opportunity for children to make cards or artwork to give to the seniors.
- Project can be done anytime … have a virtual card making party with your family, co-workers or friends.
- Gather your supplies. Get as creative or as simple as you’d like!
- Respond to this need (so the agency knows you are participating), make your cards or notes, and send them to Neighborhood House (see below).
