Property Condition Evaluation in East Peoria - Richland Neighborhood

The City of East Peoria and the Illinois Housing Development Authority have begun a community revitalization planning process focused on three neighborhoods. This  process consists of a comprehensive community engagement effort, public meetings, data collection and action planning.  As a part of this effort, South Side Office of Concern’s Housing and Community Development Division is assisting the City by coordinating an on the ground property condition evaluation. This is a data collection process conducted by a team of three walking the neighborhood and establishing external condition grades according to set criteria for every property. This data will be incorporated into a comprehensive housing needs assessment produced by IHDA. The needs assessment, in turn, influences the action plan and the kinds resources that will be pursued for neighborhood improvement.
