Volunteers are needed to assist with our Toy Shop!
Our annual Toy Shop event is open to the public, specifically to parents and grandparents looking to receive toys for their children to open on Christmas morning.
We need volunteers in the main area to assist with helping the clients shop the tables, as well as, volunteers to man the tables and keep them organized and full. We also need volunteers to assist "behind the scenes" by breaking down unused boxes, consolidating toys into boxes to make room for more, and also helping clients to their car with their toys.
Location: Peoria Citadel, 2903 W. Nebraska Ave. in Peoria
Parking: There is a large parking lot available in front of the building for volunteers to use. Please park towards the back of the lot to allow families to park in the spaces closer to the doors.
Attire: Please dress modestly and comfortably - Christmas attire encouraged! Please leave all personal belongings including your purse locked in your car or at home. We will have a private area for volunteer and Salvation Army staff coats.
Must be at least 18 years old to complete this task. No children allowed.
We will be supplying breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks to all volunteers to enjoy during break times in their shifts.
