Midwest Food Bank has an opening on the calendar for a group to work on a food packaging project. This is typically a bulk type food that must be re-packaged into smaller bags that can be handed out at distribution. We will be preparing the items for our next distribution coming up in November as we prepare to hand out food to over 300 agencies and food pantries. There will be a varied degree of physical requirements. Some volunteers can tackle the lighter tasks of labeling or sealing while others would be managing the lifting of items that could range from 10-20 lbs.
The group can be as small as 8 and as large as 20. We invite Business groups, Stay at Home Moms groups, Bible Study groups, or other groups to come and make a big impact on those in need in a small amount of time!
