Join the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council and Junior Achievement for the 2nd annual GP CareerSpark — an interactive, multi-industry career expo open to all 8th grade students in our region. This career expo is designed to spark the interest of students in the 16 national career pathways. The expo, led largely by regional employers, showcases different career fields in our top industry clusters, including manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, agribusiness, IT, and more.
- Volunteers needed at the Peoria Civic Center on Tuesday, October 23 and/or Wednesday, October 24.
- Opportunities include school tour guides, bus greeters, food and drink servers, crowd control, and a wide-variety of active professionals in specific industry teams to share hands-on experiences with students.
- Through hands-on activities, this event is designed to empower and inspire 8th grade students to pursue critically needed careers and own their future success.
