Help Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Peoria at their 2nd largest fundraiser!
Support an event that is all about family!
On July 4th Le Vieux Carre Park (across from the State Street Post Office and Kelleher's in downtown Peoria), Boys and Girls Clubs provides families with a worry-free Independence Day Celebration with parking, reserved viewing spot for fireworks, live music, children's games and an all you can eat food court. Guests bring blankets and chairs while volunteers do all the rest.
Volunteers are need for these shifts (select from list below):
- Event Set-Up is from 9:00 to 11:30 am
- Event Support is 4:30 - 6:30 pm and 6:30 - 8:30 pm
- Event Tear Down is 10:00 to 11:30 pm
Event Support volunteers will help with a variety of needs including:
- serving sandwiches (place meat on bun, wrap and hand to customer)
- refresh condiment station
- restock drinks in coolers
- manage game stations
- assist with popcorn, snow cones and ice cream sandwiches
Volunteers who work for a shift receive one free admission which includes sandwiches, chips, soda, drinks and treats. Wine or beer available for purchase. Additional admission tickets available for $25 each. Contact Steve Gomer at 309-645-5725 or swgsail59@gmail.com.
This fundraiser is all about family and pride in the freedoms we enjoy. Proceeds support the varied programs of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Peoria that have always supported these same values.
