Request for a Team Volunteer Project
Planning a volunteer project for your team?
Heart of Illinois United Way can help connect your group
with meaningful opportunities. If you’re interested, we also offer HuddleUp!, a simple way to incorporate team building and reflection into your
volunteer experience.
Please Note:
- To provide the best possible experience for both your team and our nonprofit partners, Heart of Illinois United Way only offers customized volunteer matching for groups that have a confirmed date and team members have already been invited to participate (and are expected to volunteer on your selected date/time.
- If you’re still
exploring ideas, before submitting a request for a team/group volunteer project, we recommend browsing the existing needs posted on volunteer.hoiunitedway.org. Many of the ongoing needs posted on our online volunteer center are great opportunities for team building.
- Heart of Illinois United Way partner agencies vary in facility size, outdoor space, location, programming, staffing, and number of special events. These factors physically affect the number of volunteers an organization can accommodate within its facilities or outdoors at any given time.
- The Heart of Illinois United Way recommends that volunteer groups/teams have 10 or fewer volunteers. Larger groups may need to be split into smaller groups to accommodate.
