This summer, our Youth Mental Health Matters Program presents The MEGA Brain lab: Exploring Your Mind and Mood! This dynamic 90-minute summer health education program is designed to engage youth ages 5–12, either on-site or at the participant’s site. The curriculum provides foundational emotional management for younger children (ages 5-7 years old) while offering older students (ages 8-12) a deeper look into brain structures, such as the various lobes and their specific functions. The lesson also include education on how nutrition and physical activity keep the brain healthy. If space allows, youth can take an interactive tour of our MEGA Brain! - an18-foot walk-through brain model that brings their learning to life. Volunteer: Hult Center Office VolunteerHult Center for Healthy Living is looking for friendly and organized individuals that can volunteer on a regular basis to provide office and clerical support.
Regular volunteer duties would include:
Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages for out of office staff.
Checking in massage therapy clients and processing payments, handling confidential paperwork, and scheduling appointments.
Answer the door bell and verbally screen visitors for security/access.
Checking in schools/groups and any Hult Center guests.
Use of excel for data entry related to various grants
Assisting with outreach program preparations, including but not limited to:
Printing and making copies of materials
Stuffing resource and leave-behind bags for outreach programs
Organizing props and materials for outreach education
Hult Center is open Monday-Friday, 8am-4:00pm. This volunteer opportunity is flexible but a committed, ongoing schedule is preferred.
All volunteers must complete the attached confidentiality form and background check disclosure and authorization form prior to acceptance as a Hult Center volunteer.
