The Partnership for a Healthy Community's program, HEAL, is helping meet food insecurity needs of homebound individuals and families during the COVID-19 containment.
- Volunteers are needed daily, 7-days per week to drop-off food and supplies throughout central Illinois.
- The HEAL team will provide volunteers with the supplies (or where to pick them up) and the contact information of the recipient.
- Volunteers will then deliver the food and supplies following a "step down" method of knocking on the door, placing donation on steps or porch and then backing away so the recipient can gather the food and supplies.
- Volunteers should not be immunocompromised and re encouraged to go in teams of two.
- Please follow standard safety precautions of closed-toe shoes, use hand sanitizer, etc.
