Phoenix Community Development Services, formerly South Side Office of Concern, provides supportive housing services to end homelessness in our community by providing safe, affordable housing and on-site services that empower residents to increase their independence, improve their quality of life, and maintain their housing on a permanent basis.
Glendale Commons is a 28 unit housing development that is the area's only housing designated for homeless families and couples. Volunteers are need to help with outdoor beautification including planting, spreading mulch and edging around flower beds.
Volunteers should bring their own gloves and extra shovels, spades and wheelbarrows. Please touch-base with Kristen Berchtold in advance about where to park, etc.
