Volunteer: Community Day Services VolunteersEP!C's Community Day Services Program works to ensure each participant enjoys a productive, enjoyable day while building skills to enrich their lives. Looking for a rewarding way to give back? As a volunteer with this program, you’ll play a vital role in creating joyful, purposeful days for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll assist staff in planning and leading a variety of hands-on activities, from arts and crafts to music, games, basic life skills training, and community outings. Each day brings opportunities to connect, laugh, and help participants build confidence, independence, and meaningful relationships. No special experience is needed, just patience, compassion, and a willingness to make someone’s day brighter. Whether you're volunteering once a week or once a month, your presence makes a real difference. This opportunity is ongoing, with flexible hours from Monday-Friday, 8:00 am- 3:00pm. This position could require heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time. We envision a world where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have every opportunity to achieve their best, and in Educational Services we aim to turn that vision into a reality with a variety of education options. If looking to volunteer more than once and over the age of 17 a background check is required. You can sign up to lead one to however many sessions of something that you have a special interest or expertise in teaching. The times would be from 9:30a to 10:30a &/or 12p to 1p. It could be that you sign up to facilitate something reoccurring (like a book club), or maybe you want to sign up to just teach one thing (like a singular cooking course). Volunteer: Landscaping/GardeningEP!C’s group homes offer individuals a safe, supportive, and comfortable space to live as independently as possible, thanks in part to the care and dedication of our amazing staff. We're looking for volunteers to assist with landscaping and outdoor maintenance projects that help create warm, inviting environments for our residents to enjoy. Volunteer Tasks May Include: Removing weeds, brush, or small trees Planting flowers or shrubs Laying rock or mulch Power washing surfaces Seal coating driveways or walkways This role is a great fit if you enjoy working outdoors and don’t mind physical activity.
