Foster Village Peoria

Foster Village Peoria is a non-profit that is a Resource & Support for the Foster Community in the Tri-County Area: Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford counties. We fill the gaps in services in the community, to help foster families, children in foster care, and biological families working to reunify.

We provide a variety of services & events for Foster Families. We have a Resource Closet that provides basic needs: Clothing, Diapers, Strollers, Cribs, etc. to families when they have a child placed with them. We have a Visit Room where biological families can have safe, neutral visits with their children, we offer flexibility in time & scheduling. We have support groups, educational trainings, and youth events! Our Youth Events allow kids that are in foster care to come together to do crafts and activities every other month. All our services and events are free. 

We need a large number of volunteers in multiple areas to help keep our programs running!

We need Volunteers for a variety of roles.

EVENT VOLUNTEERS: We hold fundraising &  special events through out the year. We are looking for individuals to join our fundraising team to help organize events. Typically each members focuses on one special event per year.

RESOURCE CLOSET VOLUNTEERS: We need Volunteers to work in the Resource Closet & pack and deliver bag requests. (these hours you can sign up for as you are able by joining our email list). Each bag & delivery is worth 2 hours of work. We also have volunteers work in the Resource Closet to count & stock new inventory (clothing, tolietries, etc).

SOCIAL MEIDA/MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES: We are looking for a few volunteers to help create videos for social media (reels, short videos), as well as someone to help create newsletters via mailchimp app.
